Art with Ms. Darcy

Hello families and welcome to August in our Art room! My name is Darcy and I am so excited to provide fun experiences for all of our little ones to  explore and discover new things! I have always enjoyed the arts and getting to work with children, so it’s great getting to combine the two and watch each of the kiddos grow their confidence while celebrating their creations. My goal will always be to make sure our class is a welcoming, safe, and   supportive environment for all. Our classroom will be full of opportunities to encourage creativity, curiosity, and care as well as exploration into new    artistic techniques. As I tell the kids, there are a thousand ways to create something, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing how everyone grows into their own unique artistic style!

These last bits of July flew by fast as they were full of so many warm days and playful experiences, ranging from puffballs for ice cream crafts to classic paper airplanes and water play. It’s been so fun watching everyone bring their creations to life! This month we will continue celebrating summer with more fun projects such as flip-flop beach scenes, shadow puppets, lightning bug & ladybug art, popsicle creations, and more, including the team from the Fire Escape coming in for a special visit!  Lots to be excited for this month.
