Art with Ms. Katie

It is hard to believe the holiday season is almost here and the year has sure flown by! October was a busy month in art. We painted watercolor leaves, mixed red and yellow finger paint, created pumpkin faces, painted with a foil ball and made tissue paper pumpkins. In the sensory bin, we explored noodles on straws, pumpkin seeds, nature items and grew pretend pumpkins in water. This month we will use Legos to stamp out Indian corn, paint faces with skin color paint, create a pumpkin pie slice and paint with a feather. In the sensory bin we will use noodles, textured paper shaped like feathers, fall color gems, feathers and wooden shapes mixed with acorns. Have a great month and enjoy your Thanksgiving!
